I WAS LISTENING TO GLENN BECK THE OTHER DAY AND I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS HE SAID EXACTLY, BUT I TELL YOU, THAT WAS A REAL WAKE-UP CALL, SOMETHING THAT HE SAID. IT WAS MORE LIKE, NOT HIS WORDS, BUT THE FEELING HIS WORDS GAVE ME, LIKE, THAT MAN IS RIGHT, THIS COUNTRY HAS SOME REAL PROBLEMS! AND I'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING TO HELP OUT!!!
THESE WERE PRETTY MUCH ALL PROBLEMS I'D THOUGHT A LOT ABOUT BEFORE--LIKE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS JUST PRANCING OVER HERE WILLY-NILLY TO STEAL OUR JOBS HOWEVER THEY PLEASE, OR A SOCIALIST KENYAN STEALING THE PRESIDENCY, OR THE GOVERNMENT PRETTY MUCH TURNING INTO A BUNCH OF LIBERAL NAZIS WHO WANT TO TAKE ALL OUR MONEY AND FREEDOM AWAY, JUST THAT SORT OF STUFF THAT ALL CONCERNED AMERICANS SHOULD BE THINKING ABOUT!!!
ANYWAY, I WAS FEELING KIND OF HELPLESS THINKING ABOUT ALL THIS, BUT I WAS DRIVING ALONG JUST THINKING ABOUT IT ALL AND EATING A BURRITO WHEN I SAW A FLIER FOR A TEA PARTY RALLY. I'D HEARD ABOUT THEM AND THOUGHT, THAT'S IT, COUNT ME IN, I SUPPORT THOSE PEOPLE IN MY HEART, BUT NOW IT'S TIME TO DO SOME THING MORE.
ANYWAY, IT TURNED OUT THAT WASN'T REALLY A FLIER FOR THE REAL TEA PARTY, IT WAS LIKE FOR SOME OTHER TEA PARTY, I DON'T REALLY GET IT, BUT ANYWAY, IT GOT ME STARTED, AND NOW HERE I GO!!!!!!!
TONIGHT I WILL BE ATTENDING THE MEET AND GREET FOR THE ALBUQUERQUE TEA PARTY (AND YOU ALL SHOULD TOO!!!!), AND FROM NOW UNTIL SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE I WILL BE WRITING MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS HERE ON OUR COMPUTER.
I AM PRETTY NEW TO COMPUTERS, BUT MY WIFE HAS BEEN SHOWING ME HOW TO USE OURS NOW, AND HELPED ME SET UP THIS "BLOG" WHICH WILL REALLY GIVE ME A CHANCE TO PUT MY WORDS OUT THERE AND MAYBE TOUCH THE HEARTS OF THE VOTERS OF NEW MEXICO WITH SOME OLD-FASHIONED COMMON SENSE FROM MY HEART.
SO, ANYWAY, THAT'S MY STORY, AND NOW HERE'S WHAT I WANT TO SAY: THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW, PEOPLE!! THE TIME TO SPEAK UP IS NOW!! THE TIME HAS COME, AND THAT TIME IS NOW!!! MAY GOD BLESS ALL TRUE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I saw your posting on CL so thought I would take a look. I personally don't buy into the Tea Party thing but you have your right to express your opinion. I'm turned off for a couple of reasons: (1) I think its roots are based in racism although of course this will be denied and (2) it seems one agenda I hear often from Tea Partiers is concern for the national debt which continues to spiral upward. Yet while George Bush was president, $5 Trillion was added without a peep from anyone. And this during good economic times. Even the patron saint of conservatives (Reagan) doubled the national debt. When he took over the White House, the national debt was $930 Billion and when he left it was $2.7 Trillion. Conservatives do not walk their talk. As a fiscal conservative it distresses me to see any deficit. I believe in paying our way. The only president to do that in my life time was Clinton, who ran annual budget surpluses during his last few years in office. He did this by raising taxes in 1993 so when the tech boom took place our country was able to fill its coffers for a few years and actually pay down our debt. Bush removed those tax increases and we went back to budget deficits again. (3) Tea Partiers like to use labels like socialist and communist without really understanding what those terms really mean. Because of America's system of checks and balances making America a socialist or communist country is virtually impossible. When it comes to social programs the US is way behind other advanced countries yet in those countries where they are in place there are no restrictions on personal freedoms.
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard! As a Tea Partier, I'm here to say we need all hands on deck. The previous reply has obviously been sent to you by someone out to discredit the ATP. We've been getting a lot of that. We have been accused of being "astro-turf" a lie. OFA and ACORN and others, are campaigning on behalf of the Obama administration and are the REAL astro-turf, since they have their roots in our treaturous government. This person is lashing out at the Republicans and using the term Conservative at the same time. They are not synonomous. A usual ploy of liberals is to try to spread the guilt instead of seeing the problem. We have out of control spending,& a history of presidents that have sold America down the river.
ReplyDeleteOur current administration seems intent on breaking an all-time record for taxing & spending. . Why do liberals want abortion in ObamaCare? Who will be getting the abortions? The people they want to "help". They know these are the minority groups. A legalized racial genocide. Is it because we believe EVERYONE should enter the country legally for the security of our country and in fairness? Should carpetbaggers be allowed to come in, loot, and rob and be given citizenship? Should illegal immigrants be given voting rights and driver's licenses? Things that used to be a privilege to citizens but now are handed out like candy for theliberal vote.
Socialism & Communism worked sooo well for Russia! I remember the breadlines. Medical treatment all but disappeared etc. England is so "progressive" and "social" they are bankrupt!
Where are those "checks & balances"? When the government is totally corrupt and liberal, then we still have our guns and religion until they pry them out of our cold, dead hands.
